For Elizabeth and Barney’s wedding reception in Rutland, Kingsmead Marquees was tasked with transforming a naturally sloped garden into a fully level and structurally secure event space.
The site presented a significant technical challenge due to its uneven gradient. To overcome this, our team carried out a full site survey to assess the fall and determine the most effective leveling solution. We then designed and installed a custom-built sub frame platform system, tailored precisely to the contours of the land. This involved using adjustable steel legs and timber bearers to create a level deck, ensuring structural integrity and guest safety throughout the event.
Once the platform was completed, our crew erected a Clearspan marquee atop the structure. The seamless integration between the sub-floor and marquee provided a stable, weather-resistant foundation, capable of supporting dining furniture, a full dance floor, and interior styling.
Internally, the marquee was fitted with ivory pleated linings and complemented by a curated selection of Kingsmead furniture and décor, creating a refined and welcoming environment that reflected the couple’s vision.
This installation highlights the technical adaptability and precision planning Kingsmead brings to challenging locations, ensuring that even the most complex terrains can become elegant, functional event venues.
